St. Maries Log Home Restoration

This Log Home in St. Maries Idaho was in really poor condition prior to the owner purchasing the property. They purchased it as a major project anticipating a complete rebuild.

We were brought in to media blast, treat with borate, stain, and seal the logs on this home. After we completed our portion of the work, the owner planned to finish the rest of the construction themselves.

As you can see from the before photos, this log home in St. Maries had not been properly maintained for decades. The logs did not appear to have any remaining stain left on them. It is very possible that nobody had ever sealed the logs at all. It was truly a miracle that the home did not have significant rot issues due to the lack of maintenance. After we worked our magic, these logs are properly protected and will live on for many years to come.
